Why We Need To Think About Renewable Energy Resources

You've heard the news. You're listening
to the politicians. Umm...no matter who
or what party you choose to support, one
thing is very, very clear.

They are all talking about the crucial need
to be looking at renewable energy resources.
Not too long ago, this subject was poo-pooed
by many so-called smart-thinking people.

We laughed. Called them "tree huggers".
Fear mongers. Well, the joke's on us.
Some joke!

Our planet is in deep trouble. Burning
fossil fuels will do us in. It's contributing
to a warmer planet. That may sound
good to someone living in a cold climate
but we must realize the price.

This rise in earth's temperature will cause
increasingly severe weather. We are already
seeing the effects and it will continue to
get much worse.

Thunderstorms, hurricanes, heatwaves,
wildfires, floods, draughts and sudden
temperature swings. Our water and food
supply is threatened. People die from these
things.

Hopefully our governments will forge ahead
with solid plans to combat this issue. In the
meantime, we can do our part. Yes, even
one person can make a difference.

And whatever you do to help, also helps
you. By saving money. In this unstable
economy, cutting expenses any way you
can means a lot.

In continuing posts, we'll look at the
things we can do to make a difference.
